As a powerful role model and an avid reader, Siobhán Haughey champions this year's initiative, "Empower through Reading with Siobhán Haughey". She was joined by an inspiring woman leader, Ms. Joanna Hutong for an insightful exchange focused on reading as an active, purposeful habit on a Sunday afternoon (7 Dec 2025).

 

Two SMCC students, Valerie Chiu (F.4) and Lareina Tai (F.5) joined the meaningful event invited by FutureGen Girls Foundation, which aims to inspire students to unlock their potential through the power of books, while also integrating essential AI literacy skills, which are vital for succeeding in a world increasingly shaped by technology. They found the whole event rewarding with the exchanges and the workshop that followed on one of the books, Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverted Kids, recommended by one of the guest speakers.

Under the guidance of our dedicated teacher advisor, Ms. Leung, and volleyball coach, Ms. Tam, the team trained rigorously, demonstrating resilience and sportsmanship in every match. Their commitment to excellence not only earned them victories on the court but also brought our school community together in support.

We are thrilled to announce that Fay Mak (4C) has secured the top position in the AlipayHK ‘αdvice’ Secondary School UI Design Competition & Job Shadowing Program!  In the final presentation for Top 5 held on 15December 2025, Fay’s innovative design stood out, ultimately earning first place.
 

This competition, co-organized by AlipayHK and SEED Foundation, offers students a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of UI design through engaging workshops and hands-on activities.
 

香港賽馬會社區資助計劃「美荷樓香港精神學習計劃」於2024-2025年度舉辦了「兩代情」徵文比賽，旨在透過文字創作，促進學生對家庭、社區及人文精神的理解與關懷。比賽吸引了眾多中學生踴躍參與，經過嚴謹評審，最終選出各組別的優勝者。
 

本校2C班林芷攸同學憑藉細膩的筆觸與真摯的情感，榮獲初中組冠軍。她的作品《屋邨的人・物・情》以溫暖動人的文字描繪了屋邨生活的點滴，從街坊鄰里的互助情誼，到熟悉的地標與節日場景，展現出濃厚的社區情感與人文關懷。文章中不僅流露出對成長環境的深切眷戀，也反映出她對人與人之間真摯連結的珍惜與思考。
 

We are excited to share that our school has achieved remarkable results in the Hong Kong Mathematics Creative Problem Solving Competition for Secondary Schools, co-organized by the Education Bureau (EDB) and the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers.
 

In a highly competitive setting, our school representatives excelled, earning both the Silver Award and the Most Creative Problem Solving Award in the preliminary event. Additionally, our team received the Group Merit Award in the final round, demonstrating their outstanding teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Cherrie and Cheryl received their prizes during the Award Presentation Ceremony 2024/25 for the SOW Campaign held by the Education Bureau on September 20, 2025. The animal photograph they took at Ocean Park and the poem they composed expressing the value of 'perseverance' were displayed in the SOW Campaign Fifth Anniversary Exhibition.
